Who we are...

We are Mat & Dara Koenig and we are on a mission to help people construct a firm foundation of faith in Christ.

Many of us have struggled in the past with what it means to be "Christian" and much of that comes from experiences we've had with people who label themselves as "Christians" while looking nothing like the Jesus that they talk about.

We don't believe that Jesus came to start a new religion, and we don't believe that Jesus made his ministry focus about going somewhere else to be with God. Jesus shows is in the book of John that resurrection and life with Him begins right here and right now, and he's calling those of us to who believe in Him to invite others into this journey.

“You don’t have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live. And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this?” John 11:25 (MSG)

Church isn't about "going" somewhere, it's about being someone that represents Christ, and the love of God here on earth.

It's not about "going" to a building on Sunday and Wednesday, and it's not about ignoring the life we have today because we're "going" to heaven later.

We believe that "Church" is about bringing heaven to earth, everywhere we are, in every moment possible.

What we are doing...

In Acts chapter 2 we read about believers sharing life, and meals, and celebrating together. We see them meeting the needs of those in the community while living in harmony and being joyful as they worship and praise God. In verse 47 it says that these early followers of Christ were "enjoying the favor of all the people..."

It also says that every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved. (the word saved here in the greek means, delivered, protected, healed, preserved, or made whole.

We hope to be part of creating a community that will help people realize that Jesus wants us to join him on this journey to help one another be delivered from the struggles that are weighing us down, to be delivered from our current suffering, to be protected from future troubles, to be healed from the many illnesses that we suffer from today, and to be made whole as the men and women God created us to be.

If you believe that God has more in store for you than just warming up a chair on Sunday morning and Wednesday night, we hope you'll join us on this journey as we do our best to walk with Jesus.

Where we will meet...

In the beginning, we will be meeting in our home each Sunday at 10AM. When we outgrow the living room, we will speak with the community that is on this journey with us to decide the best way to continue this mission together.
