WHY WE GIVE
The first church lived with open hands.
In the book of Acts, we see a picture of a community shaped by Jesus. They worshiped together, ate together, prayed together, and cared for each other in deeply practical ways.
Acts tells us that the believers “shared everything they had.” That does not mean giving was a cold religious transaction. It means their hearts had been changed. They saw their lives, homes, tables, and resources as gifts from God to be used for the good of others.
That is the kind of generosity we want to practice at Church. Not forced. Not flashy. Not guilt-driven. Just faithful people learning to live with glad and generous hearts.
PRAY FIRST
Ask God what faithfulness looks like.
We never want giving to feel manipulative or pressured. Before you give, take a moment and pray. Ask God to shape your heart, guide your generosity, and help you give in a way that honors Him.
GIVE WITH JOY
Joy matters more than amount.
God is not after reluctant money. He is forming generous people. Whether your gift is large or small, what matters most is that it comes from a willing, peaceful, joy-filled heart.

Generosity helps us care for the body.
